ABOUT THE COLLECTION
In 1946 Margaret Corry embarked with her husband, Nick Corry, on an international tour that lasted nearly two decades. Nick’s career with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) stationed the couple in seven different locations between 1947 and 1963: Shanghai, China (1947-1949); Paris, France (1949–1951); Tehran, Iran (1951–1953); New Delhi, India (1953–1956); Colombo, Sri Lanka (1956–1959); Manila, Philippines (1959–1961); and Bangkok, Thailand (1961–1963). Along the way, Margaret carefully documented their international experiences and compiled them into photographic albums.
